Nathan Ramar Short Writing Assignment per 3

                                                       Color Theory Writing Assignment

In our most recent graphic design project on color theory, we learned to identify color gradients in images along with creating images with color harmony palettes. Three primary colors include colors like yellow, blue and red. They are primary because these colors, when combined, produce almost all colors in the color wheel. Secondary colors are colors resulting in a mix of primary colors, like purple and green. Tertiary are colors resulting from mixing a primary color and a secondary color, like red-velvet or green-yellow.
The difference between subtractive and additive color models is that additive colors are "pure",  meaning colors that ad up to form a white light, while subtractive colors are colors that are reflected and not absorbed, meaning the only colors that reflect an object. Certain colors can give of an emotion or feeling to how an image in perceived. For instance, the color blue is known to have a calming effect on a person, while darker colors can make people depressed or sad. when certain colors are next to each other, they can give off a certain impression, depending on which colors are next to each other. For instance complementary colors give off a calming vibe since they naturally go well with each other, while non-complementary colors next to each other could draw the viewer away or have disinterest.
grayscale images are images only showing different shades of gray to create an image. these images could consist of anything, like a rose or a ocean, as long as the image is only using different shades of gray. Monochrome images are images consisting with a single color agianst a neutral background, like a green screen (also known as Monochrome monitors). as mentioned before, complementary colors are two or more colors that are pleasant to look at according to the human eye, such as blue and orange or red and green. examples include oranges on a blue table, or a fire hydrant in a luscious field.
I learned a lot so far from Graphic Designs Color Theory lesson in helping me create pleasant images.
